Gene Moore — Retired President — Current Bored Chairman & CFO

Gene joined the company full-time in December 1970. Prior to this, he had worked for his father's company during summers when not in high school and college. In 1967 to 1969, he attended Gaston College and studied Electrical Engineering Technology. He joined the Army National Guard in 1970 and served to 1976. Upon the untimely death of his brother, J. B. Moore, Jr. in 1973, he was elected to serve as Vice-President of the firm. After his father's semi-retirement in 1976, he was promoted to President.

Gene holds a Master Electricians Certification in the state of Virginia and North Carolina. He is also a Certified Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) with the Construction Specifications Institute. He has served on the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), Virginia Chapter as a Director and is a National Director and past Treasurer of the Professional Construction Estimators of America (PCEA).

Neil Moore — President — Estimates & Sales

Neil currently serves as a Vice-President of the firm for project estimates. His expertise is in the design and construction services. This includes specialty contractor operations, complex project management, cost estimating, procurement management, and cost control systems. Neil has effectively managed the acquisition procedures, selection, and post-acquisition integration activities at J. B. Moore Electrical Contractor. His experience has given him the extensive skills needed to oversee a wide range of multiple projects in electrical construction.

Neil served in the U. S. Navy and after discharged, he had several jobs before coming to work in the family business. He has a BS degree in Business Management from Liberty University, and afterward earned Master Degrees in Business Administration and Project Management from Liberty University.

Brenda D. Moore — Vice President, Finance & Accounting

Brenda is also the long-time wife of Gene, and married since 1973. Brenda oversees all accounting functions, payroll and office operations of the company. She earned and holds two AS degrees in Business Administration and Accounting from Central Virginia College in Lynchburg. Brenda has over thirty years of experience in accounting, tax preparation, reports, payroll and other financial duties.

She also is a licensed realtor and broker and works part-time for The Real Estate Advantage, when not taking care of Gene, three grown children, four grandchildren, her mother and two dogs, Boomer and Gracie.

Carlton Ayers — Vice President - Operations & Project Management

Carlton has over 21 years of experience working for J. B. Moore Electrical Contractor, Inc. He started working in the field as an electrical helper and apprentice, and earning a Master Electricians License from the Virginia Department of Labor, Office of Professional Regulation. He worked as a crew foreman and project foreman on numerous electrical and utility projects. Carlton was appointed to serve as the company's Operation Supervisor in 2015 and coordinates and has oversight for all employees in the field for the company. He is also the safety coordinator and conducts weekly training sessions with company personnel.

Carlton is experienced and proficient in all aspects of electrical residential, commercial, industrial, power utility and signalization systems.

Christina Dye — Office Manager

Hello, my name is Christina Dye and I am the new Office Manager at J.B. Moore Electrical Contractors. I bring with me over 15 years' experience in management, including my last place of employment with AMB as their account manager for 7 years.

I am the proud mother of a son who is also in management, and of my oldest that is actively in the Army. I have resided in Madison Heights, VA for the last 11 years. I enjoy in my free time spending time with family, my beautiful grandson, fishing and hunting.

I look forward to working for J.B. Moore Electrical Contractors and becoming apart of their work family.
